Suspected serial bank robber identified and charged in Alberta

The man suspected in a string of bank robberies across the western provinces has been identified as 26 year old Shaun Christopher Cornish, formerly of Langley, B.C.

Cornish was arrested at a Grande Prairie motel on Friday, after reportedly targeting a financial institution in Dawson Creek, B.C. Wednesday.

So far, he’s facing charges stemming from three robberies committed in Lethbridge, High River, and Claresholm.

Charges in B.C. and Saskatchewan are still pending.

Cornish will appear in Okotoks court on February 6th.
