Cougar attacks pipeline worker south of Grande Prairie

Global News has confirmed with Alberta Justice that a pipeline worker was attacked by a cougar near Grande Prairie Friday afternoon.

The attack happened about 90 kilometres south of the city, around 3 p.m.

The victim’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening, and a cougar was shot dead by RCMP.

Fish and Wildlife are now working to confirm the cougar is the same one that attacked the worker.
