Only minor injuries sustained after pickup truck collides with parked semi

One person is in hospital with non life threatening injuries after a pickup collided with a parked semi truck.

The collision happened just after 5 this morning on the east side of 100 Street at 124 Avenue.

The pick up hit the semi hard enough to wake the operator who was in his sleeper cab.

Emergency crews had to rescue the pick up driver from his vehicle before taking him to hospital.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.
