Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Fox Creek area.
That freezing rain is expected to develop near Whitecourt before moving southeast towards Edmonton and Lloydminster early in the evening.

The freezing rain is expected to last a few hours but it is likely to cause hazardous icing conditions. Colder air will come in behind the cold front and allow the precipitation to change over to snow.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
