A warrant round up in the Town of Peace River has resulted in the execution of 61 outstanding warrants and the arrest of 32 people.
Members from more than 10 western Alberta RCMP detachments spent Thursday through Saturday in the town and surrounding rural areas, tracking down people wanted on warrants for everything from unpaid fines to more serious Criminal Code offences.
A similar effort was held in Grande Prairie in November 2014, and resulted in 35 arrests on 74 outstanding warrants.
As always, anyone who believes they may have a warrant out for their arrest is encouraged to turn themselves in to their local detachment.
