City snow removal crews trying to stay ahead of cold weather

City snow removal crews are going to step up their snow clearing efforts over the next two days to try and reach all remaining areas of the city before the cold weather returns on Wednesday.

Crews were able to reach about 80 per cent of the city last week.

The remaining 20 per cent does not fall within the normally scheduled service, but Transportation Services Manager Robert Carroll says they would like to be ahead of the cold front that is on the way later this week.

Countryside North and South, Signature Falls, O’Brien Lake, Mission Heights, Pinnacle Ridge, and Westpointe and are on the schedule for today.
