Canadian comedy veteran performing at Face Off Against Cancer banquet

The Canadian Cancer Society’s fourth annual Face Off Against Cancer Fundraiser is in just a few days, and while registration for the hockey tournament is full, there are still tickets available for the banquet Saturday night.

The night features dinner, a silent auction, and entertainment by Canadian comedy veteran Andrew Grose.

You may know him as the “Bed n a Bag” guy, but he’s also responsible for organizing a cancer benefit that’s raised more than one million dollars for cancer research.

He says it’s a cause that’s close to his heart.

“There isn’t anyone that can’t name someone they know that was affected by cancer, and in my case it was my father-in-law first; that was when I first started fundraising for cancer, and four or five years into that, my sister was diagnosed and subsequently died.”

Tickets are available at the Canadian Cancer Society or you can use your My Grande Prairie Rewards point to enter the raffle for four tickets at 2dayfm.ca.
