A snowfall warning has been issued for Peace River- Fairview- High Prairie- Manning areas. Environment Canada says a long period of snowfall is expected in those areas with amounts of 10 to 20 centimetres possible.
A narrow band of heavy snow is expected to develop on Tuesday morning near and south of Rainbow Lake. Heavy snow will expand to the south into the Peace River region throughout the day bringing localized heavy snow. During the day on Wednesday snow is expected to taper to flurries.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Drivers are being reminded to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
