Children are being invited to spend some time with Santa at the Crosslink County Sportsplex. On December 8th, the County of Grande Prairie and the County Sportsplex are hosting Santa’s Skate and Play.
The big man in red will be at the Trican Fieldhouse from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for games and then he will hit the ice at the Overland Rink for a skate with the kids from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Throughout the event, people can also enjoy hot chocolate and candy canes with Santa, Sparky and county firefighters.
Admission to the event is by food or cash donation. All proceeds will go to the Sexsmith and Area Hamper Program.
