Two charged after Grande Prairie RCMP recover stolen vehicle

Two people are facing numerous charges after allegedly fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle.

Authorities say they were called to a gas station in Clairmont around 10:30 p.m. on November 20th after a complaint that a stolen truck was located at the business.

Police say after they turned on their lights and sirens, the car took off. It’s alleged the suspect truck brushed one of the police vehicles.

The suspect truck then continued to try and escape, swerved to avoid another police vehicle and lost control. The truck hit the ditch, struck a fire hydrant and several trees before coming to a stop.
