Gravel road bans lifted in city

Gravel road bans have been lifted in the City of Grande Prairie. As of November 28th, axle weight on gravel roads has returned to 100 per cent, 24 hours a day until further notice.

The gravel road ban is announced annually when snow melts to prevent excessive damage to gravel roads by heavy traffic loads.

The ban in the county was lifted on November 25th, bringing those roads back up to 100 per cent axel weight, 24 hours a day until further notice as well.
