Grande Prairie welcomes new family doctor

A new family doctor has begun practicing in Grande Prairie. Dr. Maaz Yousuf will be practising out of the clinic inside the Walmart on 99 Avenue, while also providing care at the Northern Addictions Centre and Queen Elizabeth II Hospital.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Dr. Yousuf to the community,” says Dr. Brian Muir, Zone Medical Director for Alberta Health Services. “He’s a great addition to our local medical team and will help increase our residents’ access to healthcare in our community.”

Dr. Yousuf, Born and raised in Pakistan, finished his medical training at Baqai Medical University and his residency at Ziauddin Medical University in Karachi before coming to Canada in 2008, where he has spent time in Toronto and most recently Calgary.

“My passion for family medicine has led my practice in both rural and urban settings. I will strive to deliver the best possible care to the community of Grande Prairie,” he adds.
