Local high school volleyball teams return from provincials with medals

Two local high school volleyball teams have returned from provincials with medals. On November 23rd at the 4A provincials, the Charles Spencer High School girls volleyball team beat the host team from Jasper Place in Edmonton to bring home a bronze medal.

The Peace Wapiti Academy girls team also took home a bronze medal in provincial action beating Cochrane in St. Paul on November 22nd.

The boys’ team from St. Joes and the girls’ team from Beaverlodge competed in 3A action but came up just short with the boys getting 4th place and the girls losing to Cochrane in the quarterfinals.

Sexsmith Secondary School also hit the court in the 2A tournament in Three Hills but missed the playoffs.
