UPDATE: Vehicle collision south of Valleyview causes outage

UPDATE: ATCO Electric says the vehicle collision south of Valleyview has knocked out power in the area. Crews are working to have it restored quickly.

A travel advisory has been issued for Highway 43 from Debolt to Little Smoky, and Highway 49 from Highway 43 to the Little Smoky River crossing.

Valleyview RCMP says roads are extremely icy due to extreme temperatures.

There has also been a single vehicle collision on Highway 43 west of Valleyvew and a four semi collision on the highway south of the town.

Drivers are encouraged to give themselves extra time if they’re taking those routes.
