31st annual Festival of Trees kicks off Friday

Thousands of Grande Prairie families will be at the TARA Centre this weekend to take part in some holiday fun. The 2019 Festival of Trees opens to the public on November 22nd.

The festival is the largest annual fundraiser for the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation.

The weekend kicks off on Thursday night with Cowboy Christmas.  The adults-only event is new for this year and features live music, food and dance. That runs from 7:30 to 11 p.m.

Then on Saturday, deck the family out in their pyjamas and head to the festival for the Christmas Pyjama Party. There will be a holiday movie, popcorn, pizza and dessert as well as games and activities.
