The County of Grande Prairie has announced that a 50 per cent axle weight gravel road ban will go into effect on November 20th.
The road ban is put in place during inclement weather and spring thaw when gravel roads are especially vulnerable to damage.
A road ban is a standard procedure put in place regularly on many Alberta roads by the Province and municipalities to protect important infrastructure during construction activities, maintenance or seasonal conditions.
The ban will remain in place until further notice.
