More charges laid stemming from recent rash of B&Es

Grande Prairie RCMP has charged three more people in connection with a slew of break and enters at businesses in Grande Prairie and the surrounding areas.

22-year-old Alexis Jarvis, 44-year-old Vincent Hooper, and 50-year-old Randy Vander Veen, all from Grande Prairie, have each been charged with 14 offences. They include possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Police say a search warrant executed on a home and vehicle led them to several stolen items, including multiple safes and cash registers, of which many are connected to businesses. Also in the cache were guns, a stolen truck, ID and passports, as well as break and enter tools and other property reported stolen.

49-year-old Yvan Landry and 38-year-old Clifford Dranchuk, both of Grande Prairie, are already facing charges related to breaking and entering, wearing disguises, and possession of stolen property.
