Councillors in the MD of Greenview have acclaimed a reeve and elected a deputy reeve for the area. Dale Smith will continue as Reeve with Division 9 Councillor Duane Didow coming on as Deputy Reeve.
Smith first took over as Reeve from Dale Gervais after he resigned in May of this year to focus on other things. Smith has been the councillor for Greenview’s Ward 5, New Fish Creek since 2013. Prior to that, he spent 35 years with Alberta Sustainable Resources.
“We have plans to carry on the excellent work accomplished by the Council in 2019 by continuing to move forward with vital
improvements to Greenview infrastructure, roads, and investment in our communities,” says Smith.
Didow adds that he’s grateful for the support of his fellow councillors and that he’s looking forward to taking on his new role.
