The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating after the death of a man found near High Prairie was ruled a homicide.
Police say the body of a 35-year-old man was found on a road in Atikameg First Nation around 7 a.m. on October 20th. An autopsy has determined his cause of death was a homicide, although no further details have been released, including the man’s identity.
Authorities say several units from nearby jurisdictions are being used in the investigation, including Grande Prairie Police Dog Services and the General Investigation Section.
