Unwanted pesticides and livestock medication being collected in Grande Prairie

Grande Prairie and area farmers who have unwanted agricultural pesticides or livestock medications will be able to safely get rid of certain items on October 18th.

Grande Prairie Unwanted Pesticides & Animal Meds Collection will accept any unwanted or “obsolete” agricultural pesticides, so long as it contains a pest control product number on the label. They will also take livestock medications used in the rearing of animals, as long as it can be identified with a DIN, serial number, or pest control product number on the label.

The collection will take place at the Grande Prairie UFA Farm & Ranch Supply Store at 15602 101 Street. For a full list of what will and will not be accepted, visit ClearFarms’ website.
