Death of a Peace River woman ruled a homicide

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is now investigating after a woman’s death in Peace River was deemed a homicide.
Mounties say the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered around 1:50 a.m. on October 8th, and after an autopsy was conducted by the provincial medical examiner, the death was ruled a homicide.
Peace River RCMP is asking anyone with information, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area of 98 Street and 77 Avenue in Peace River around the time of the incident to contact them 780-624-6677 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
