98 per cent of residential neighbourhoods plowed ahead of weekend

With a snowfall warning in effect for the Grande Prairie region, city crews say 98 per cent of residential neighbourhoods have been cleared of the New Year’s record snowfall.

Anyone whose street wasn’t done this week will see plows next week, as Transportation Manager Robert Carroll explains it can take up to two days, meaning two weeks, to get a neighbourhood done.

There’s five to 10 centimetres of the white stuff in the forecast for tonight, with another five expected Saturday, so snow plows will likely be busy again this weekend and next week.
