2014 housing starts up 18.5% in Grande Prairie

Numbers for 2014 Housing starts in Grande Prairie are in.

Due largely to a 43.6 per cent increase in multiple family homes year over year, overall starts were up 18.5 per cent.

Single family homes held fairly steady from 2013, increasing from 393 to 396.

For the month of December, there was actually a drop in multiple home starts, from 62 in 2013 to 39.

Single family homes were up from 19 in December 2013, to 36 in December 2014.
