County residents to learn about well maintenance at upcoming workshop

The County of Grande Prairie wants to make sure residents on well water know how to protect it and keep themselves safe. It will be hosting a free Working Well Workshop on October 30th.

The workshop will cover topics like water quality and quantity testing, protecting your well from contamination, basic well maintenance and how to do your own water sampling.

Those interested in attending are asked to pre-register by calling 780-532-9727. They are also asked to submit the legal land description of their well to [email protected] so that the presenter can access each person’s well report prior to the workshop.

The event will be held at the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
