Grande Prairie MLA Tracy Allard is inviting the public to roundtable focus on the Fairness for Newcomers Action Plan.
Allard says the majority of discussion is likely to centre around the new Fair Registration Practices Act, which the government hopes will help remove red tape and hold professional bodies accountable to increase fairness and transparency during the process.
Allard adds she is looking to the Grande Prairie business community for what they think will be “a key element to the success of this program, and to help newcomers feel more welcome in Alberta.”
The roundtable is slated for 6 p.m. on September 26th. A location will be provided after interested parties register, which can be done here.
