In a case very similar to one in Grande Prairie nearly a year ago, an infant has been found safe after the vehicle it was inside was stolen in Edmonton.
A woman in her thirties left the one year old in an unlocked and idling car while she quickly ran into a business around 10 a.m. this morning.
Fortunately, when police were talking to the mother, the suspect drove past in her car.
A man in his thirties was caught by a canine unit after he fled on foot into an industrial yard.

She was later left on the porch of a hour south of the city in her carseat.
