Grande Cache RCMP confirm body of missing man found

Grande Cache RCMP has confirmed that the body of 20-year-old Tommy Harrington has been found eight months after he went missing.

Recently, a public search for Harrington organized by the group Wings of Mercy was called off at the request of the family. On September 17th, search organizer Shane Michaels says he spoke to members of the missing man’s family and was told the search was no longer needed as his body may have been found.

Harrington had been missing since the evening of January 5th, when he was believed to have been with his pickup truck on the Cinch Road, 70 kilometres north of Grande Cache. His truck was found on January 7th stuck there within sight of Highway 40, but Harrington hadn’t been heard from since.

RCMP says it is not currently looking for any suspects and no further updates will be provided.
