No one was injured after a small fire broke out at the Courtyard Apartments.
Grande Prairie Fire officials say they arrived on scene around 11:40 Thursday night, and thanks to the building smoke detector, residents were already alerted to the fire and the building was evacuating.
Firefighters located a small fire in the apartment stairwell and quickly put it out, limiting damage to the rest of the building.
Grande Prairie RCMP is investigating the cause of the fire.
