The County of Grande Prairie is shelling out more than $2.08 million in capital grants this year.
More than three quarters of that is going towards major community projects, like the Bezanson Community Centre, the Clairmont Agriculture Society Adventure Park, and the LaGlace Arena Project.
Almost $500,000 is going to Capital Assistance Grants for group projects like installing electrical and plumbing at the repurposed Hythe Hospital and restoring the Teepee Creek United Church.
The last $12,500 will go to 100th anniversary celebrations.
