Craig Keilburger and Spencer West to speak at Mighty Peace Day 2015

Grande Prairie’s second ever Mighty Peace Day is just over a month away, and two of the events keynote speakers have been announced.

Craig Keilburger founded the organization Free the Children when he was just 11 years old, which is the cause that inspired Mighty Peace Day into existence.

The organization was created to fight child poverty, exploitation and labour.

Also confirmed to speak at the event on February 10 is Spencer West.

West lost his legs as a child, but has not let that slow him down.

He’s written a best selling book called ‘Standing Tall’, starred in the documentary ‘Redefine Possible’, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in his wheelchair in 2012.

Mighty Peace Day is a reward for students that are actively volunteering and involved in their community.
