UPDATE: As of 6:20 p.m. Saturday ATCO Electricity says power has been restored to all customers.
A power outage is affecting thousands of customers in Clairmont and Sexsmith. According to ATCO Electric’s outage map, 2,137 customers are without power in the Sexsmith area and 1,732 are without power in the Clairmont area.
The cause of the outage is currently not known but ATCO Electric says crews have been assigned to each area. As of 5 p.m., the estimated time of restoration is 7 p.m.
