Suspects in car theft and abduction in police custody

Three suspects are now in police custody in relation to the theft of a truck with an infant in it earlier this afternoon.

Thanks to a tip from a member of the public and a helicopter search, Grande Prairie RCMP was able to find the stolen Dodge Ram at a forestry products mill south of the city.

After a foot chase, three people were apprehended around 4:15 p.m. but no charges have been laid so far.

An Amber Alert was issued after the vehicle seven month old Addison in was stolen while left running.

She later turned up in a car seat on the porch of a rural residence south of Grande Prairie.

She appears to be uninjured, but was taken to hospital to be checked out as a precaution.
