Grande Prairie singer wins four awards at 2019 CCMAs

A singer/songwriter from Grande Prairie has won big at the 2019 Canadian Country Music Association Awards.

Over the weekend, 25-year-old Tenille Townes picked up four trophies including Female Artist of the Year as well as Single of the Year, Video of the Year and Anthem Entertainment Songwriter of the Year for her 2018 song Somebody’s Daughter.

Also nominated for awards were Spirit River native Aaron Goodvin for Interactive Artist or Group of the Year and La Crete band High Valley for Group or Duo of the Year. Both were beat out by other artists.
