The Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool will close its gates for the season on September 15th.
“We’ve been happy for the warmer temperatures given the time of year, and when the sun is shining so are the people swimming in the pool,” says Meghan Monette, Aquatics Manager.
“It has been a short but strong swim season this summer, and we are pleased to see all the smiles, high fives and returning faces as people enjoy the facility,” she added.
The pool re-opened back on August 24th, nearly six years after it closed due to a large crack in the structure. Its reopening was delayed several times due to weather issues.
