Multiple media outlets in Edmonton are reporting that there are now 9 people who have been killed in the last 24 hours in and around the city.
Edmonton Police are investigating homicides at three locations in Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan.
Outlets are also reporting that there may be a link between the three crime scenes, though RCMP have not yet confirmed a connection.
Down town Fort Saskatchewan was completely blocked off this morning as police surrounded a Vietnamese restaurant in the area.
Mounties were also called to investigate deaths at a home in the south-west around 7 pm, and at a home in Edmonton’s north end around 8:30 last night.
