Former Valleyview man given life sentence for 2011 double murder in Ontario

A man who used to live in Valleyview has been given a life sentence for the 2011 murders of an Ontario mother and daughter. On August 29th, Glenn Kraemer Bauman received the sentence after pleading guilty to the first-degree murders of his common-law spouse Linda Daniel and her daughter Cheyenne.

The pair disappeared in July 2011 but were only reported missing by family members in December of 2015. Police say Bauman killed them in 2011 and burned their bodies in two steel barrels in the backyard of their home in Wellesley Township outside of Kitchener, Ontario.

Years later, Bauman moved to Valleyview for work and lived there until he was arrested during an undercover sting in August 2016. He may be eligible for parole after 25 years.
