City looking for feedback on park and playground use

Officials with the City of Grande Prairie are looking to hear from residents who frequently use parks and playgrounds as they prepare for the next cycle of budgeting.

In the form of an online survey, the city is looking get a better idea of who uses the parks and playgrounds, which locations are most popular, and what features are in highest demand for users.

Officials say the feedback will not only be used to better develop monetary needs when it comes to growth and maintenance of parks but as well as the wants and needs for each community.

Every year, the city has a budget of just under $1.9 million for repair and upkeep of all 103 parks and playgrounds in Grande Prairie.
