Two charged after Dawson Creek robbery

Two people have been charged following an alleged armed robbery in Dawson Creek.

At 5 a.m on August 7th, Police say the two men were allegedly involved in the armed robbery of a business in Dawson Creek.

The two left the scene in a vehicle, which was later discovered as stolen from Fort St. John. Later in the day, the pair were picked up by mounties in Grande Prairie, along with the vehicle.

Subsequently 31-year-old Michael Corris, and 56-year old Joseph Kelly, both of Fort St. John, have been charged with Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 and resisting arrest.

Both men will appear in a Grande Prairie court on September 26th.
