County to discuss Whispering Ridge as a possible site for new schools

County of Grande Prairie administration is planning a meeting with both the Peace Wapiti and Grande Prairie Catholic School Divisions to discuss school construction in the county.

Both school districts have their eye on the Whispering Ridge Subdivision, Peace Wapiti for a K-8 school, and GP Catholic for a new catholic high school.

Currently the area structure plan has one 17.5 acre school site identified for Whispering Ridge.

Council has approved administration to meet with the two parties to discuss needs and options for the proposed schools.
