Mobile mammogram screening service coming to Spirit River

Women in Spirit River ages 50 to 74 will soon be able to access free mammogram tests as the mobile testing unit rolls into town next month.

Alberta Health Service’s Screen Test program was created to improve access to cancer screening for women in northern Alberta communities where mammograms are not readily available.

The trailer will be stationed at the Central Peace Health Complex on 45 Avenue from September 3rd to 6th and again from September 9th to 13th. Residents can book an appointment or learn more about the program by calling 1-800-667-0604.
