MD of Greenview approves 2015 budget

The MD of Greenview has approved a consolidated operating and capital budget for 2015.

As of January 5, the Council has allotted enough funding for both the Grovedale and Grande Cache satellite offices to be open to the public full time.

The MD is also putting $875,000 towards upgrading and developing outdoor recreation facilities.

$12.3 million has been set aside for road maintenance projects, while the towns of Valleyview, Grande Cache, and Fox Creek will each receive $2.6 million for community development initiative funding.

Grovedale and Debolt are each receiving more than $6 million for Fire Hall replacements.

Other capital funding projects include $6.8 million for new water services, and $25 million for the Valleyview Multiplex over the next two years.
