Portion of Township Road 711 to close for repairs

Crews plan to close a portion of Township Road 711 between Range Road 71 and 72 in the County of Grande Prairie in order to clean up after flooding.

As of 4 p.m. on August 7th the road will be closed for repairs until further notice after heavy rain on the July 25th caused high water levels in Spring Creek.

During repairs, drivers are asked to use Range Road 73 and Township Road 710 to access Range Road 72 or Range Road 71 to access Township Road 712. Heavy traffic is asked to avoid the area by using Highway 40 and Highway 43.

Anyone who sees flooding or washed out roads that slow down or stop traffic is asked to call the Public Works 24-hour Emergency Line at 780-532-7393.
