Wembley water restriction lifted

Wembley residents no longer have to watch their water use. The level one water restriction for the town has been lifted as of August 2nd. That comes after Aquatera turned on the taps on its 26-kilometre water line from the treatment plant in Grande Prairie to the reservoir in Wembley.

The restriction had been in place since May 29th when town officials said they needed to protect the town’s water supply until the new line was up and running.

The line was originally supposed to be open by mid-June but a leak in the line pushed that back.
