More attendance records at the Grande Prairie Museum
The Grande Prairie Museum continues to break attendance records.
For the past six months in a row, the number of visits has been higher than ever before.
There were an extra 6,598 guests in August, including a one day record of 2,500 during the Centennial Spectacular.
Culture and Heritage Manager Robert Steven says the increase shows that people are making use of their extended hours and free admission for the 100th Anniversary.
As a result, they’re keeping them indefinitely.
Nearly 19,000 people have visited since June, an increase of 124 per cent over the same period last year.
