Rash of thefts from rural mailboxes

There has been a rash of thefts from rural mailboxes around the city, prompting RCMP to remind residents to check their mail regularly, or have someone check it for them.

We’re still waiting to hear about how many have been hit, but police are asking anyone affected to report thefts and suspicious activity immediately.

Mail theft increases at this time of year, as thieves look for money being sent for the holidays.
