UPDATE: 511 Alberta reports the highway has been reopened to traffic in both directions.
A truck fire around 1:45 p.m. has closed the eastbound lane of Highway 43 at Range Road 71 west of Grande Prairie.
Alberta 511 is asking people to use alternate routes or be prepared to stop as major delays are expected.
More information will be released when it is known.
