High Prairie RCMP is investigating after it says it found human remains in a wooded area near Driftpile First Nation about 40 minutes outside High Prairie. On July 26th, police were looking for a possible missing person when the remains were found.
The Forensic Identification Section Was on scene on Saturday as part of the ongoing investigation. Police say there is no indication that the death is suspicious at this time.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton will be looking into the identity of the body. Police say an update will be provided when more information is available.
