Portion of Township Road 711 down to single lane due to flooding

A section of Township Road 711 between Range Road 71 and 72 in the County of Grande Prairie is down to a single lane after heavy rainfall caused flooding.

High water levels have created poor road conditions where the road crosses Spring Creek.

Until further notice, that stretch will be down to 30 kilometres per hour with a maximum vehicle weight of one tonne. Drivers are asked to obey posted speed limits and heavier traffic is being told to use Highway 40 and Highway 43 as alternate routes.

Anyone who sees flooding or washed out roads that slow down or stop traffic is asked to call the Public Works 24-hour Emergency Line at 780-532-7393.
