Former Valleyview man found guilty of first degree murder

A man who used to live in Valleyview has been found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.

On July 12th, a jury at the Waterloo Regional Courthouse in Kitchener, Ontario found 46-year-old Glenn Kraemer Bauman guilty in the deaths of his common-law spouse Linda Daniel and her daughter Cheyenne.

The pair disappeared in July 2011 but were only reported missing by family members in December of 2015. Police allege Bauman killed them in the month they went missing and then burned their bodies in two 45-gallon steel barrels in the backyard of the home they shared in Wellesley Township outside of Kitchener, Ontario.

Years later, Bauman moved to Valleyview for work and lived there until he was arrested during an undercover sting in August 2016. A date for sentencing has not been set yet.
