Update: Severe thunderstorm watch lifted for Grande Prairie

The severe thunderstorm watch for Grande Prairie was lifted just after 9:30 Sunday night

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Valleyview area.

Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, damaging hail and heavy rain.

Heavy rainfall amounts can also cause flash flooding and pooling water on roadways.
